I know there are some of you from around those parts - let’s say, theoretically, I get transferred to Knoxville - where will I be able to find a home for the airplane? Jacksboro/Campbell County looks close, but don’t really see anything in the way of hangars listed anywhere.

What's going on at 80TN? Looks like one hangar through satellite imagery. Do you work with relo companies?tellicovillage wrote:80tn could be a possibility I can also help you find a great home!

Two tiedowns.
Yes, we work with relo companies...they just want a fee typically.
Where will you be working?

Knoxville hangars
There is a hangar for sale at TN20. Has heat and air, bathroom, hydraulic door. The roof has leaked in the past and the drywall will need some repairs.
There are also two hangars for sale that are very basic. You lease the land and buy the hangar. Great community. Wonderful friendly people and a good quality airstrip.
DKX has new hangars ready to lease but they are pricey.

I’d be working in Knoxville and would like to choose the part of town to live in based on where the airplane ends up. Priorities!tellicovillage wrote:Google is behind...Link to pictures..... 2 hangers complete. 2 under construction.

You can fly to get fuel or just make a fuel rig and transport it yourself. Don't hem in your options based on fuel availability; it may cost you a lot more in the long run. If its a community airport, you might could go in together to develop a fuel option. Crunch the numbers, Amigo, hanger rent adds up quickly.

Texas Aggies
I’m new to the site and just read your post. I assume you are a Texas Aggie? When will you know if you’re going to transfer out this way? (I’m in Huntsville, AL). Always good to find another Aggie this far from home. Especially one who flies Maules.

Kirk, you do have fuel - we just need a siphon hosecaptnkirk wrote:No fuel at my place but the cheapest fuel in the state (normally) is at EHO about 6 minutes away. It is where I go if the wx keeps me out of my place or it get to dark. it's nice to have a close by alternate when needed.
I can't remember if I fired six shots, or only five.....
