Hi all,

Just looking at the feasibility of getting a pre-1995 VFR M7 and dropping in the new cool split panel and upgrading to something similar to that mentioned in the Maule Brochure (the cheapest IFR package) - Twin Garmin G5's with a GTN 600. The end result is to get a light IFR duty aircraft with real STOL capabilities.

Has anyone done this already?
What sort of challenges in getting from VFR to IFR?
Any challenges switching from existing panel to the new split one?
Outside of the glass, I am guessing heated pitot tube, cabin dimming will be additional. I will read up on the regs to see what else is missing?

Thanks in advance
Damien
