Drooping wing

I'm operating from memory here so jump in to clarify for me, but isn't there a sentence in the maintenance manual about verifying the oleo adjustments by measuring from the wing down to the brake caliper on each side?
Something like 67" full fuel, 68" empty?

I don't want to beat the drum too much, but, you Want to get the X-gear. Unbelievable difference in T/O and landing.
It's hard to believe 4" makes such a difference :0
