After years of promising myself I'd get there in my own plane, I finally made it. I just hadn't gotten the right alignment of weather, no forest fire impact, nothing critical on my "honey-do" list and no work responsibilities to allow the trip. It's just a tad too far to make it a pleasant out and back in 1 day. Adding the overnight campout adds just enough complexity that the trip kept getting put off. Well, all the planets and stars aligned properly last week and I had a wonderful 1 night under the stars at this gem of mountain strips.
