Washington State is fortunate to have a stretch of sand on the coast designated as a Washington State Airport. Copalis Beach is S16. The weather and tides were perfect so my wife and I flew there yesterday for a picnic. Landings were to the south and that is unusual. It was also rough on the approach with turbulence caused by the hills along the beach. Still well worth is! A bunch of other planes arrived while our Maule was on the ground.
Here's our plane parked on the beach with a Murphy Rebel
Here's a carbon cub landing
Here's La Push from the air
Here's Toleak Point from the air
and Destruction Island from the air
It was a GREAT day in the Pacific Northwest!

Greta pics thanks for sharing. It's a bucket list landing for me.
I've not made it even though I'm in state. It's a little far and hard to time the tides and the fog and the weather in the mountains.
