Flew from the top of Texas to the southern tip over the last 24 hours for $95 instead of $500. KHYI in San Marcos Texas is selling Avgas for $1/gallon at the Skyport FBO and flight training center. It's a beautiful facility and thanks to many great sponsors, they are making a lot of pilots happy. Hundreds of planes are flying in daily.

Just checked the calendar...it's October so this isn't April Fools. That's pretty incredible. I'll have to talk with the AK maulers and see if we want to go in on a tanker truck and bring it up the Alcan.

Looks like the sun is out and the sky is blue. How can that be with the government being shut down?

DAMN! Paul, let's go!
Good for them, when I bought the Peril I went through Four Corners on the way across the Country and found 100LL for $1.95/gal. I'll never see that again.
Live it like its your last day.

Anyone have a tanker we can borrow for a couple of weeks?
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Although they advertised that it would be $1 all month, they just reneged on that promise.
I read their explanation but I still look at it as false advertisement.
