Angle of Attack indicators - recommendations?
I am thinking about having an AOA indicator installed in my MT-7 and I am hoping to get reviews of units made by different companies. I think I am only interested in a unit with wing sensors. Sunlight readability, quality of construction and effectiveness are the things I'm interested in hearing about.

I put in a UAvionics AV-20 for the clock, OAT digital sensor, turn and bank and other functions. It also incorporates an AOA digital sensor that is easy to calibrate. Getting multiple benefits for a single installation was a big driver for me choosing this unit.

I like Alpha Systems. Their Eagle unit is a very good display. Have installed several for customers and they all liked them.

I am eager to try mine out when my panel is complete. I was originally going to go with Alpha Systems, but then discovered that Garmin has one built into the G3X that I am installing. So, we just ordered the GI-260 equipment today. There are pros and cons to the two types and with the research I have found it seems to be like comparing Apple to Android as they both feel each of their own systems is superior.

What do you think would be an average install time in a Maule for the Alpha Eagle system?

I have a CYA-100 (CYA is either "check your angle" or "cover your a##"
Simple bare bones unit. Uses Hall effect magnets to determine angle; therefore, not pressure tubes to route.
