With just me and light on fuel it'll get off the ground in 200'. I need to work on landing slower since it takes me 300' to get stopped. For a heavy aircraft with marginal HP it performs very well. We have a 650' strip that runs 2/20 that we use when light and an 1100' strip that runs 14/32 when the wife packs the plane
That sounds pretty good. Is that at around 24 square?

What part of Texas are you located?

130 mph (indicated) at 24 square. Flying at 7,000 to 11,000 on a recent trip to NM our ground speed was 145 to 155 mph. Both ways. On another trip to north Texas it wasn't as pretty; stiff headwind dropped me to 115.

We're not far from the Austin area.
